Silverstone & the British Grand Prix


The redevelopment plans for Silverstone are coming to the end of the planning process, and soon the circuit owner, the BRDC, will know if its blueprint for keeping the British Grand Prix will get the green light.The eleventh hour is approaching for Silverstone and the British Grand Prix. Bernie Ecclestone has demanded that the venue, where the first-ever Formula One World Championship race was held in 1950, must be significantly upgraded and redeveloped to stand any chance of renewing its contract to host the event from 2010.
